“Meeting students where they are” isn't a slogan. Through Princeton's Prison Teaching Initiative, I taught college-level math to incarcerated students — many of whom hadn't been in a classroom in years. That experience shaped everything about how I teach.

Why I do this

The mentors I had growing up changed my life. They taught me how to think, how to persist, and how to believe I could solve problems that seemed impossible.

Today, students have more information than ever — but less real guidance. I started this practice because I believe the students who thrive aren't the ones with the most resources. They're the ones with someone in their corner.

Research

20+ peer-reviewed publications with over 2,000 citations. Invited speaker at Google DeepMind, Microsoft Research, Facebook FAIR, and leading international conferences. Program committee member for PETS, USENIX Security, IEEE S&P, EuroCrypt, ICLR, and NeurIPS.
